In the middle of Wales on a small farm, there lived a black sheep and her name was Sian.
A happier lamb would be hard to find, she loved helping others, was caring & kind.

Synopsis

" Your father and i love you more than you know. Who needs another sheep as white as the snow?
One day you will grow into a beautiful ewe, by then you will have a different point of view.
You'll see that what makes us special, makes us unique, And if we were all the same, this world would be bleak"

About

Author: My name is Julian Kiley and i love nothing more than reading stories to my little girl Indie. I wanted to have a book that was more personal & welsh, something a little closer to home. I hope you enjoy Sian as much as we do.

Illustrator: Lucy Littler is an amazingly talented young artist from Wales. She has really brought Sian and all her flock to life through her own style of pencil line work & cute smiling faces. She certainly has a bright future ahead of her.

  1. This is such a lovely book for little people (and quite grown up people!). I bought it to put in our holiday cottage so that we could share a little bit of Welsh storytelling with our visitors. But now I have had a sneak read myself I think it is on my Christmas present list as well.

  2. My niece and nephew both loved me reading this to them. I also think this book puts forward a very important message to young kids that its ok to be different .

  3. My son and I have really enjoyed reading this book. He enjoys looking out for the daffodil and waiting for the wolf. A really lovely book.
